Current Value/drink Now And Recommended Pairing?

A friend who recently lost her husband passed along to us a bottle of wine they had been saving. The wine is a 1970 Chateau Trimoulet Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classe, Red Bordeaux. We are uncertain how it has been stored, however no visable signs of leakage or cork damage. Can you tell us the current value? Should we drink it now - or save it, and any food pairings you could recommend?

Wine Decanting

I have been told that red wine (especially european wine) has to be decanted for about 1 hour before being served. I tried it and noticed that the same wine will test much better after decanting. However, this will bring the wine to room tempearture (around 75 degrees), way far from the suggested serving temperature (65 degrees). What\'s the trick?

Wine Description By "experts"

I often read a description of wine as "sexy" as used by Parker, Wine Spectator & others. I asked Serina Sutcliff at a Hollywood Wine Seminar what they meant. She answered laughingly "I don`t know. I never use the term. Call me if you find out." What do you think they mean by a "sexy" wine? Donald Holzberg
