Valdadige Vs Delle Venezie

The label of this PGrigio says, "Pinot Grigio from Valdadige" Further down on the label it says Pinot Grigio delle Venezie IGT. What does Valdadige have to do with delle Venezie? Thank you
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

"Valadige" is actually a controlled denomination (DOC) that is located along the valley of the Adige River and is shared by Veneto, Trentino and Alto Adige. These areas are broadly considered to be part of the Venezie. It would seem from your description that the wine is actually an IGT and not a DOC, and that they are using the Valadige reference somewhat loosely. I would have to see the label to be sure.
