What is the difference between Chardonnay and Muscato?
Hello, I have a bottle of Recondo Chianti... 3 liters in a green corkscrew curved bottle about 3 foot tall...by Cevin sas, Pontedera Italian, imported by Schenk USA, inc. Glenview Illinois. Am curious about any information that you could provide on this. I appreciate your help.
In the US, is there a specific process to go from chemical-aided wine making to organic wine-making? Can a wine be called organic simply because the grapes are organic or does the wine-making process have to be chemical-free too? By the way I greatly admire how knowledgeable you are, as you know incredibly more than is needed to work in your trade, I'm sure.

How many grapes are there that have a red skin and also red juice?
I have two bottles of Cognac, Grande Fine Champagne, 1811 Reserve, Imperatrice Josephine. Both bottle show leakage. First bottle is unopened and half way down the bottle. The second bottle has lost about a inch from its' top. Bottled in France 11/4/1934, distilled in 1811. Is there any hope that these bottle might still be drinkable, and do they have any value?

I am doing a birthday dinner for my boyfriend and thought I would keep it simple with some good quality whole foods. I know very little about wine pairing and am trying to figure out if his fav foods together will be good with the wine I've got. I've got fresh goat cheese, crackers, good quality jam and homemade bread, porcini mushroom ravioli and pesto, and some tiramisu. I've also got some Muscato and a good merlot. Will the merlot go, and what should we drink the Muscato with? thanks!!
