The Wine Festival of Colorado Springs is the city's premier and most comprehensive charity wine event.
It was born in 1992, making it the longest-running wine festival in Southern Colorado. The first event was held at the private Colorado Springs' School, and consisted of a modest "Grand Tasting" event with a small wine auction, which procured $16,000 in revenue, over 50% more than was anticipated by the initial planners! Festival coordinators recognized that the Wine Festival of Colorado Springs could be a substantial annual fundraiser for excellent causes throughout the city...
And so it began!
Over the years, the Wine Festival has supported several beneficiaries including the Colorado Dance Theater, Pikes Peak Community Foundation’s “Fund for the Arts”, and The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. Since 2014, and in keeping with it's charitable contributions to foundations that support the arts, the Wine Festival has benefited The Colorado Springs Conservatory - a rare and nurturing setting that brings together world-class training in all the performing arts to students of all ages.
The Wine Festival of Colorado Springs has gained national recognition and respect as a charity wine event, and has had the privilege of hosting some of the leading names in the wine industry.
Today's Wine Festival hosts world-class events, and has become a definitive affair on the Colorado Springs social calendar. With an array of winemaker and expert-led seminars, wine and food pairings, celebrity chef luncheons, The Grand Tasting, and more, The Colorado Springs Wine Festival offers exciting events for wine lovers of every palate... And at distinguished venues like The Broadmoor Hotel, the Garden of the Gods Club, and other inviting and historic sites throughout the city. It is truly a magical, annual event with Colorado Springs at the heart!
