What are some good books to help me learn more about wine, wine tasting and making my own wine?
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW
To learn about wine, I highly recommend "The World Atlas of Wine" by Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. The text is concise and precise and the maps are very helpful. As a general reference, "The Oxford Companion to Wine" is indispensable and should be on the bookshelf of anyone serious about the subject. There are of course many excellent books focusing on specific wine-producing countries and regions, and I would be happy to cite a few if you have a particular interest (just post another question on the LWE forum). In terms of making wine yourself, you might want to have "Home Winemaking for Dummies" by Tim Patterson. Good luck with your studies!
