Wine

Is it available a "low-alcohol" red wine?
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

If by "low" you mean a wine substantially less than the norm, perhaps around 5% alcohol by volume, the choices are few. We live in a time of relatively high alcohol content, so it's common to find red wines in the range of 13 to 15 % ABV. You could look for some bottlings of Carmel or Kedem (kosher), but you will have more options in white wine. Try traditional German off-dry Riesling (around 9%),or a Moscato d'Asti at about 5%.
