Wine Tasting/tours

I will be in Schweich, Germany in Oct. do you have any recommendations for the best tasting/tour experience there?
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

You are in for a treat if you're a fan of some of the world's greatest Riesling wines, particularly those jewels with pristine and complex aromas, low alcohols, and a delicate touch of sweetness balanced by elegant acidity! Schweich is an ideal base to discover the River Mosel and its world-famous vineyards. To the north along the twists and turns of the Mosel is the Mittelmosel, with lovely villages and steep slopes running down to the river. Some very much worth visiting are Trittenheim, Piesport, Brauneberg, Bernkastel and Wehlen to name just a few. South of Schweich are two tributaries of the Mosel with distinctive wines worth a detour: the Ruwer and Saar. I am sure there are tours you can find, or you could make appointments and drive on your own. Do a little research and you'll find countless cellars to visit. Wine Country's brief guide might be a good starting place (https://www.winecountry.com/blog/germany-wine-regions-mosel-pfalz/).
