Wine After Opening

How long is white wine good after being opened and kept in refrigerator?
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

I have answered many variations of this question, and I suggest you scroll through the pages to find some of these exchanges, which might be helpful. The short answer is that it depends on the type of wine, how much is left in the bottle, and the type of closure. I would recommend some sort of mechanism to seal the wine, such as the simple and inexpensive plug-and-pump system (to remove air). In any case, I would not keep most opened white wines more than a couple of days: lighter wines will fade quickly but rich ones may hold longer. You can tell yourself how much the wine has lost by comparing it to your memory of how it tasted when first opened - let that be your guide.
