Vintage Cognac Bottle Prices

We have 2 bottles both unopened and in good condition. The first is a Napoleon Cognac (Gaston De Lagrange) bottled in 1958. The other is Gautier Freres Cognac bottled in 1936. We Were just wondering what they could be worth and where we could possibly sell them. Thank you.
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

This type of question is asked frequently on LWE. My advice, when you have one or two bottles, is always the same: share them with friends. Selling a bottle or two is usually not practical, and auction houses tend to want larger lots. That said, I could only guess at the value of these bottlings. No doubt, a Cognac devotee - if you could find such a person - might have an interest in older bottles to add to a collection, at a price to be negotiated privately.
