Sardinian Wines For Inflammation

What are some names of Sardinian wines available in PA that supposedly help with inflammation in the body?
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

Sorry, I can't help you with that question as I am unaware of any Sardinian wines which are a cure for inflammation. It sounds as if this is some sort of local myth and not a medical fact. It is true that resveratrol, a compound in red wine, may have anti-inflammatory effects. But that does not mean wine is prescribed for that purpose. And alcohol in excess can have the opposite effect. Sardinia does enjoy a so-called Mediterranean diet which favors vegetables and grains as well as wine. Many medical authorities consider such a diet to be particularly healthy and a possible contributor to the long life of Sardinians and others who eat a similar mix of foods on a daily basis.
