Why are all of the events in Santa Barbara so expensive? Is it because of the target population? I am passionate about wines and would love to attend some of the events but I can not afford them. Thank you, Jenelle

It's too bad that the Santa Barbara wine events cost more than you're willing to pay! I guess questions about pricing can't really be answered, except by saying that the event organizers would lower ticket prices if they could not acheive satisfactory attendance. Have you checked the LWE site to find free wine tastings? What about visits to all the wonderful wineries in the area? The charge for tasting is normally rather modest, and you can listen to an explanation of the wines from tasting room staff.
