New Wine

Is new wine grapes that are not ferment and made into grape juice. If so can you give me some brand names and where they can be purchase.
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

There are in fact two options in terms of beverages made from typical wine grapes, and neither contains alcohol. You may want to investigate several in order to find ones that you like. The first category applies to actual wines from which the alcohol has been removed. In some cases, this is achieved by a device called the spinning cone. These drinks resemble wine, but of course without a key taste ingredient. You can probably find brands such as Ariel or Fre fairly easily. Then, there are pure juices which have not been fermented. Of course, Concord grapes are the primary fruit used for dark purple grape juice under many labels including Welch's. There are fewer choices in terms of other wine grape juices. Navarro Vineyards offers Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir. Draper Valley Vineyards sells Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Muscat, Riesling and other varieties. You will find all of these brands online, and the products can be purchased and shipped from the winery if you can't find them locally. Hope you find one you enjoy!
