Name Of Wine

several years a go there was an inexpensive brand of wine at the grocery stores that had a hummingbird on the label. It was a white zin I think. I can't find it anymore and it's killing me that I can't even remember the name of it. If it's not been on the shelves does that mean I will never see it again?
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

There are several California wineries which use - or have used - a hummingbird on the label of their wines. The most obvious one is Clos la Chance, who offer a large range of wines including a rosé, but not a White Zinfandel at this time. I haven't been able to find a White Zin with a hummingbird, but animals and birds are commonly displayed on wine labels, so I wouldn't give up hope without further searching. There are many reasons a wine may disappear from a local market, or lose distribution in certain retail accounts. It doesn't necessarily mean that the wine is no longer being produced. If you can recall exactly where you last bought it, I suggest you talk to the manager or wine buyer to see if they can solve the mystery. You might also get lucky if someone reading this forum knows the name of the wine. If so, I'll be sure that information is posted.
