Help Locating A Winemaker For My 50 Vines Of Grape

I am looking for any referrals to a small business or proprietor who is a good wine chemist, winemaster type. I have 50 vines in their third year, on the Saugatuck River in Westport, type is Marquette (clone of Shiraz and an American cold-hardy varietal) and am hoping to find someone who can make my small quantity of grapes into wine and help me get it bottled. Also am interested to know with 50 vines, about how many bottles I should expect to result. -Marc Lewis
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

You should probably start by contacting a local agricultural department in Connecticut and see if they know someone who can perform the tasks you require. The challenge will be to find someone who has the necessary skills and is interested in taking on your project. You could contact the UConn College of Agriculture & Natural Resources at extension.uconn.edu

Or, what about approaching a Connecticut winery and proposing that they purchase your grapes?

Good luck with your vines and wine!
