Expiration

I have a bottle of 2013 Nova•Fase, Sangovsee wine. Is it still good? It's been stored in a temperature controlled room with little light hitting the bottle.
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

I gather that the wine you have is a Sangiovese from Puglia, Italy made with organic grapes. Is this right? If so, it is an inexpensive example to drink on release and not intended to be cellared. That said, there is no reason the 2013 should not be in sound condition in 2017 if you have stored the bottle in the right conditions since it came onto the market, probably in 2015. There is, however, nothing to gain from keeping it longer.
