Distributor To Distributor

I am currently holding a Federal importer licence and a NYS licence, and i would like to start selling to distributors in FL and CA, what are the requirements for me in order to do it? Thanks
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

I understand that your company has a Federal Basic Permit to import wine and sell to wholesalers (or retailers in some cases), and that your firm holds as well a Wholesaler's Basic Permit, allowing you to sell to the retail trade and, in addition, to other wholesalers. These two licenses are the prerequisites for these activities. In addition, individual states may require a unique permit authorizing an out-of-state company to sell wine to distributors in their states. These requirements vary considerably, and it would be best for you to contact the alcoholic beverage agencies directly to confirm their rules. Here are the addresses: myfloridalicense.com and abc.ca.gov.
