Cellar Tracking

is there a wine label recongition cellar tracking system that is both location and wine type sensative?
Answer From Expert Roger Bohmrich MW

If I understand your question, I believe you are interested in software which can, in short, do everything for the owner of a wine cellar. I think that, in fact, there are management systems which can handle nearly all, if not every one, of those functions. I still rely on a rather primitive inventory approach for my own cellar, identifying, by origin and type, the wine, number of bottles, vintages, and specific location by establishing a letter and number code for location. However, there are web- and app-based services which provide all of the requisite functions, and more. Cellar Tracker is a popular service - an online community - for collectors, who can post their own tasting notes on the website (cellartracker.com) as well as access professional reviews and articles, and find out the current value of a wine. Cellar Tracker relies on scanning the existing barcode, or one printed on a separate label. Another service, Uncork (uncork.biz), offers wine cellar software that identifies the location of a bottle in a "virtual rack display," relying on a handheld reader to scan the barcode on the bottle or a printable tag. You may want to investigate these two options as well as others on the market to see which one best suits your needs and preferences.
