Fortunately for all of us who enjoy wine and food, the number of worthwhile options in U.S. airports has increased dramatically in recent years. In the West, several major hubs now have wine bars, often with interesting menus. Based on various critical reviews, I would cite the very popular Vino Volo chain, with locations at Denver International, John Wayne (Orange County), Seattle-Tacoma, Salt Lake City and Los Angeles. You should as well check out SeaLegs Wine Bar at LAX, opened in 2015. Also in Denver, try Root Down, a local restaurant with an airport branch. In San Diego, you have two options which have been highly rated for wine drinkers: Beaudevin and Bubbles Seafood + Wine Bar. At Palm Springs International, look for California Vintages. When you are traveling to Washington State, you can sample local wines at Vintage Washington at Seattle-Tacoma. With all these choices, I'm sure you'll find something fun and enjoyable.
