After last year's, Hungarian Wine Roadshow 2015 traveled through its second tour successfully again.This year, the largest Hungarian wines show’s team met with the wine experts in 3 different cities - New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco in 8 wine bars.The European wines almost always associated with the Italian and French wines. The popularity of the wines of Hungary in the heart of Europe with excellent and varied lands, are going back to the Middle Ages. The French and Russian king both considered the Hungarian Tokaj Aszú as the best wine of the world, XIV Louis called it the wine for the kings, the king of the wines.The guests of the Hungarian Wine Roadshow could got to know this centuries-old Hungarian wine traditions and their unique wines. The wine experts could taste 10 different wines, each one led by an interesting presentation on the characteristics of the wine regions.The participants could taste the Tokaj wine region’s special white wines. The Hungarian Tokaj wine makers can prepare an in itself pleasant, beautiful wine that can include sometimes hard acids. There is no doubt that the dry wine of the Wine Region is the Furmint. It is diversified, versatile and enjoyable. The other Hungarian wine has a very special “muskotály” taste and fragrance. They prepare only a few from it, but it is a very exciting, full-bodied, tasty acid filled independent wine. It is not easy to prepare a nice wine from this type and the risky is also higher in the Loess.From the dry red wines, participants could compare 6 different from the most popular ones from the Villány and Szekszárd Wine Regions, such as the famous Bikavér. Bikavér is always a full-bodied red wine. It means that it is a very strong tasteful drink. Mostly we drink it in Hungary with meat and spicy dishes because than we can feel its aroma better. Also typical types are the Kékfrankos, Cabernet Savignon, cabernet franc, merlot and the pinot noir.Those who decided to spend a hot summer afternoon in the recognition of the Hungarian wines became richer with a very special experience. They could taste wines that are not yet available in the American market.
