“Parma and Lake of Garda tour 2025”
A Journey through Parma city in Emilia Romagna Region savoring the italian specialties envied by the whole world and visiting the beauties of Lake of Garda
Day 1 (Sunday)
On Sunday morning, Marco will meet you at the airport Malpensa in Milan. From there, we will transfer with our private minvan to our four star Hotel in Parma. After settling into your room for a short rest, we will walk through the historical city of Parma. Later, we will enjoy a private concert with a tenor and a piano player during our first wine dinner in a typical restaurant in Parma.
Day 2 (Monday)
Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning we will depart to visit a cheese factory where Parmigiano Reggiano cheese is produced. Here we will see the processing and the different phases on how this amazing cheese is made and have a taste of the most famous cheese in the World. In the afternoon, on our way to Zibello village, we will take a short stop to visit Giuseppe Verdi house. Later we will visit a cellar in Zibello on the banks of the Po river specialized in the production and maturation of Culatello di Zibello, an amazing variation of Prosciutto di Parma. The family that runs the farm also own a restaurant where we will have a typical dinner.
Day 3 (Tuesday)
Breakfast in the Hotel. In the morning we will depart to visit a Prosciuttificio, where Prosciutto di Parma is produced. Here we will see all the steps on how prosciutto is made: weighing, salting, and room seasoning. After a tasting of their products, we will transfer to visit a winery specialized in the production of Malvasia wine with a light lunch. Later we will return to Parma where we will have a wine dinner in a typical restaurant.
Day 4 (Wednesday)
Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning we will depart to Modena city to visit a “Acetaia” specialized in the production of “Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena”. Here, we will learn the process of making this particular “aceto” and the different aging typologies from 5 years old to 25 years old. Here we will have a light lunch buffet. Later, we will visit a winery specialized in the production of Lambrusco wine, we will learn the history of this particular wine through a pleasant wine tasting. Later In the afternoon we will return to Parma. We will end the day with a wine dinner in a typical restaurant.
Day 5 (Thursday)
After Breakfast in the hotel, we will depart to the Lake of Garda. On the road, we will stop to visit the historical city of Mantua, where we will have a walk in the historical Piazza delle Erbe and have lunch at ristorante “Il Cigno”, one of the most famous and traditional restaurants of the city. In the afternoon we will arrive to Desenzano village on the Lake of Garda. After the accommodations in the hotel, we will have an aperitif in Desenzano square and we will end our day with a wine dinner in a typical farmhouse in Moniga village.
Day 6 (Friday)
Breakfast in the hotel. At 10:30 am we will depart to visit Ottella Vineyard in Lugana. There, we will learn about the production of wine, and taste great wines from the Lake region with some light small bites. In the afternoon, we will drive to the village of Sirmione. Later in the afternoon we will return to Desenzano. In the evening we will transfer to the village of Salo’ for a typical dinner prepared with seafood from the lake.
Day 7 (Saturday)
Breakfast in the Hotel. At 10:00 am we start our trip around the lake of Garda. Our first stop will stop will be in Tignale village located at 1,500 ft. on the west side of the lake.here you will be able to admire the entire lake. Later, we will reach the village of Riva del Garda on the top fo the lake and we will have lunch in a typical restaurant with dishes from Trentino region. In the afternoon we will return to our hotel in Desenzano driving on the west side of the lake and stop will stop for a drink to Punta San Vigilio, one of the most romantic locations of the Lake. We will end our day having a wine dinner at ristorante La Borsa in Valeggio village, well known as “Capital of Tortellini”.
Day 8 (Sunday)
Breakfast in the hotel. Morning at your leisure. In the afternoon, we will transfer to the Hotel in Milan. We will have our last wine dinner at the Restaurant della Pista in Casorate Sempione.
Day 9 (Monday)
After Breakfast in the Hotel, we will drive to the airport for our depart to the USA.
