A magic Journey through the wine and food regions of Barolo, Barbaresco, Asti and Monferrato
Here, everything revolves around wine. The answer lies in the “terroir”, a French word that identifies all those factors (environment, farming techniques, protection of designations of origin) that allow you to understand the relationship between the vine and its environment. And, in the Langhe, this relation is presented as one of the most privileged in the world. The valleys (which create different microclimates and ideals), the temperature (which increases the concentration of aromas in the skins), the composition of the soil (which has begun to form sixteen million years ago), the substrates loamy, calcareous and sandy alternating, give life to an extraordinary variety of wine grapes. The Langhe are not only famous for the wine, but also for the remarkable cuisine, which is using the specialties of the area, especially the truffle and cheese. You will be able to live an unique journey that will drastically improve your knowledge in wine and food.

PROGRAM
Day 1 (Sunday)
We will transfer from Malpensa airport to our four star hotel in Castello di Santa Vittoria with our private minivan. Later, we transfer to the Hamlet of Barolo where we will have a light lunch. After lunch we will visit the WIMU Wine Museum where we will have a wine tasting at the “Enoteca Regionale del Barolo”. Transfer back to the Hotel for our first wine dinner.
Day 2 (Monday)
After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer to the beatiful Hamlet of Barbaresco where we will visit the historical tower from where we will enjoy the exquisite Barbaresco hills. We will have a Barbaresco tasting at the winery “Carlo Giacosa” and later a light lunch in the area. In the afternoon we will visit the Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco with the opportunity to taste some interesting wines. We then return to the hotel and have a wine dinner in a typical restaurant in the area.
Day 3 (Tuesday)
After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer with our private minivan to the village of Valcasotto. Here, we will visit a cheese-aging factory where we will have lunch with dishes prepared using their cheeses. After lunch, we will transfer to Grinzane Village where you will be able to admire a historical castle.
Later in the afternoon, we return to the hotel for a small rest before dinner. We transfer to Roddino Village for our wine dinner in a typical Osteria.
Day 4 (Wednesday)
Breakfast at the hotel. At 10am, we transfer with our private minivan to Ferrere Village. Here, we will see the production of salami in a typical Salumeria and we will have a little taste of their products. Early in the afternoon, we will transfer to Damilano Winery for a Barolo wine tasting. We then return to the hotel. Transfer to Sinio Village for our wine dinner at a Farmhouse.
Day 5 (Thursday)
After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer with our minivan to Asti Village. In Asti, we will visit “Coppo Winery” for a wine tasting of their amazing wines. Later in the afternoon, we will transfer to Neive Village. Here, we will visit the historical Distillery “Romano Levi” and taste some of his amazing grappas’. Return to the hotel. We will transfer to Alba village for our wine dinner in a typical restaurant.
Day 6 (Friday)
After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer to Ponzano Monferrato village with our minivan. Here, we will visit the Alemat Winery with a tasting of their wines and some small bites. Later, in the early afternoon, we will transfer to La Morra Village. In La Morra, we will visit a famous Truffle shop and we taste some of their products. Return to the hotel. Wine dinner in a local restaurant.
Day 7 (Saturday)
Breakfast at the hotel. After the check out, we will transfer to Vercelli village with our minivan. In Vercelli we will visit an historical “Riseria” where rice is cultivated and process. After a light lunch in the area, we will transfer to our four star Hotel in Milan area. We will have our last wine dinner in the restaurant of the hotel.
Day 8 (Sunday)
After Breakfast at the Hotel, we will drive to the airport for your depart to the USA.
