Boutique Wine Tour Experience For Small Group Lake Of Garda/Valpolicella

PROGRAM

May 2025

Day 1 (Thursday)

On Thursday morning, Marco will meet you at Malpensa airport. From there, we will transfer with our private minivan to our Hotel in Desenzano del Garda. After settling into your room, we will drive to to the Port of Manerba village for a light lunch at “Trattoria da Rino”. After lunch we will return to the hotel. Later in the afternoon we will depart with our private minivan for a visit to the small historical Hamlet Borghetto (1393 AC). In the evening we will enjoy a fabulous dining experience at the Restaurant “La Borsa” in Valeggio, well known as one of the capitals of tortellini.

Day 2 (Friday)

Breakfast in the hotel. At 10:30 am we will depart to visit “Ottella Vineyard” in Lugana. There, we will learn about the production of wine, and taste great wines from the Lake region with a light small bites. In the afternoon, we will drive to the village of Sirmione and we will return to Desenzano with the Ferry Boat. In the evening we will transfer to the village of Pozzolengo for our dinner with Bollito at the “Osteria dell’Avanguardia”.

Day 3 (Saturday)

Breakfst in the Hotel. At 9:30 am we will depart to visit the village of Salo’, and we will stroll the open-air market. We will luncheon at the typical “Osteria di Mezzo” tasting seafood from the Lake. In the afternoon we will have some relaxing time walking through the pedestrian area of Salo’ for some shopping.

We will return to the hotel to freshen up. At 7:00 pm we will depart to have our dinner at the “Restaurant Aurora” in the village of Soiano del lago.

Day 4 (Sunday)

Breakfast in the hotel. Around 10:00 am we will transfer with our private minivan to Moniga del Garda for an aperitif in front of the lake. Around 12:00 noon we will transfer to Crociale where we will have lunch at the “Trattoria ai Colli.” We will be dining on the typical dish from this area called Spiedo.

In the afternoon we will return to Desenzano. You will have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4 (Monday)

Breakfast in the Hotel. At 10:00 am, we will transfer to Manerba, to visit the “Avanzi Vineyard”. There, we will have a wine tasting, an olive oil tasting and same small bites. In the afternoon we will all relax at the spa “TermeGarda” in Calvagese. The spa will provide towels, bathrobes and slippers. Don’t forget your swimsuit. Swimming pool, Sauna, and Steam room included. Additional services are available for an extra charge. After a short break in our hotel, we will transfer to the village of Peschiera for a special seafood wine dinner at the restaurant “La Barcaccia”.

Day 5 (Tuesday)

Breakfast in the Hotel. At 8:30 am, we will depart with our private minivan to visit a “Cheese Factory”. There we will learn about the production of cheese, from the milk to the final product, and taste some particular cheeses from this area. In the afternoon, we will transfer to Verona city where we will visit Juliet Balcony (Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet), the Arena, Piazza delle erbe. We will end our visit to Verona having “Cicchetti” and wine in a local “Osteria”. Later we will drive to Valpolicella Hills and visit the “Rubinelli Vineyard”. Here we will enjoy a nice wine tasting with Valpolicella and Amarone wines. Later we will return to our Hotel and we will end the day having dinner in a typical restaurnt in Desenzano.

Day 7 (Wednesday)

Breakfast in the Hotel. At 10:00 am we will depart with our private minivan for a nice ride around the Lake. We will stop to Tignale, at an altitude of 2,000 feet, where you will enjoy a view of the all lake. We will have a light lunch at Riva del Garda on top of the lake, and later in the afternoon we will have an aperitif at Punta San Vigilio, one of the most romantic place on the lake. We will we end our day, having a dinner at the farmhouse “I Vegher” in Puegnago del Garda.

Day 8 (Thursday)

Breakfast in the hotel. Morning at your leisure. At noon (12:00 pm), we will depart to visit “Costaripa Vineyard” in Moniga del Garda. There we will learn about the production of rose’ wine, and taste great wines and champagne along with same small bites. In the afternoon we will return to the hotel to pack our luggage. We will depart to Milan with our private minivan and reach our hotel in Casorate Sempione. Here we will have our final wine dinner at the renowned restaurant “Della Pista”.

Day 9 (Friday)

After Breakfast in the Hotel, we will drive to the airport for your depart to USA.

Payment schedule: $1,000.00 with application no later than November 10 2024 (50% NOT refundable) Balance of payment is due 60 days prior to departure

TOUR CONTRACT - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

THIS IS A LEGAL CONTRACT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING

RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENTS: A deposit of $1,000.00 per person, payable by check is required at the time of reservation. Reservations will not be considered confirmed until the above deposit is received. Contract must be signed and returned to MarcoAvigoTours within 7 days of reservation.

The balance for the tour is due no later than 60 days prior to the tour

(See “Cancellations” below for our cancellation policy.)

PRICES: In case of any appreciable variation in its costs, MarcoAvigoTours reserves the right to adjust its rates. Gratuities not expressly mentioned are excluded. Tour prices do not include transportation between your home and the airline terminal or personal items such as laundry, telephone calls, bar bills or any expense of a personal nature. No refund will be made for any accommodations or services included in the tour that you do not use. In the case of computer or human billing error, MarcoAvigoTours reserves the right to re-invoice participants with corrected billing.

TAXES AND CHARGES: All hotel taxes, security charges and any other type of tax or charge imposed for land travel are included in tour prices.

HOTEL SUBSTITUTIONS: In case a hotel change becomes necessary for reasons beyond the control of MarcoAvigoTours, the hotel substituted will be equivalent or superior to the original hotel.

MEALS: As described in the MarcoAvigoTours tour description.

BAGGAGE: Each tour member must travel with one check-in suitcase and one carry-on per person.

Baggage insurance is strongly recommended.

AIRLINES: MarcoAvigoTours is not responsible for seating assignments or flight delays which are solely under the control of the carrier.

PASSPORTS: United States citizens must present a valid passport. Non U.S. citizens may have to meet other travel requirements which tour members should discuss with the appropriate governmental authorities.

HOLIDAYS AND CHANGES: During national or local holidays in Italy, certain facilities such as museums, restaurants, archeological sites and stores may be closed. In such instances, and whenever possible, itinerary adjustments may be made MarcoAvigoTours in an effort to minimize inconveniences to tour members. Holidays, closing days and other circumstances may change the day of the week for sightseeing and other activities.

RIGHT TO EXCLUDE: MarcoAvigoTours reserve the right in its own sole discretion, acting in good faith, to decline to accept any individual for a tour or to require any individual to withdraw from any tour. Should MarcoAvigoTours require an individual to withdraw; the individual is entitled to a full reimbursement of all payments, including deposit, made to MarcoAvigoTours, prior to that date. To the extent an individual required to withdraw has made air travel and/or other land travel arrangements independent of MarcoAvigoTours, we shall not be responsible for reimbursement of any losses attributable to the required withdrawal.

INSURANCE: Health, accident, baggage and trip insurance are strongly recommended.

CANCELLATIONS: Your right to receive a land tour refund is limited. All cancellations and refund requests must be sent to MarcoAvigoTours, in writing. Your tour deposit is refundable less a $ 300. per person administration fee up to 60 days prior to departure, at which time your final tour payment is due. MarcoAvigoTours, can make no land tour refunds for any reason whatsoever within 60 days of departure. Trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended.

MARCOAVIGOTOURS RESPONSABILITES: The tour member understands that he/she has no claim against MarcoAvigoTours for any delay or damage to or loss of property or baggage or injury to or death of persons due to any negligent or willful act of a direct air carrier, hotel, ground transportation company, cruise company, railroad, or service company of any kind, or any other person or persons rendering any of the services being offered in connection with this tour. Further, MarcoAvigoTours advises that it has no ownership interest whatsoever in any hotel, ground Transportation Company, or service company of any kind in Europe. You may see the name” MarcoAvigoTours” affixed to motor vehicles, on signs around the airport, hotel or elsewhere. This use of our name is purely for reasons of identification and does not denote ownership, supervision or control by MarcoAvigoTours in any way. With this in mind, please purchase the insurance coverage you require for before, during and for your return from vacation.

TOUR TERMS: Additional information regarding the price, itinerary and other specific terms and conditions of your designated tour are in the MarcoAvigoTours tour description, and are considered a part of this contract.

POST-TOUR CLAIMS: You understand and agree that no claims will be considered and that you will not bring suit against MarcoAvigoTours unless you have first provided a typewritten notice of claim to MarcoAvigoTours within 30 days after the tour or cancellation of the tour.
