After moving to South Africa two decades ago, Californian Samantha O'Keefe found paradise and the perfect terroir. Tucked into the foothills of a dramatic mountain range in South Africa she built Lismore Estate Vineyards. Her passion combined with vines planted at 300 meters, chilled by the winter snow and nourished by the African summer sun, produce classic cool climate wines which are rich, complex and lovingly hand crafted.

After years of hard work developing her estate, Samantha completed her first harvest in 2008. In 2012, her wines garnered the attention of Neal Martin & received well-deserved acclaim. In 2014, Kysela began importing & distributing Lismore wines throughout the United States. In 2018, Samantha was inducted into the prestigious Cape Winemaker’s Guild in 2018, becoming the 6th woman to ever be inducted into the Guild. Just last month, Lismore's 2017 Estate Reserve Chardonnay was named Wine Advocate's 'Top Discovery of the Year', and The Wine Advocate's Anthony Mueller praised her efforts

Despite the setback, Samantha is producing wine this year! We are so excited that her wines are available online and locally for this tasting.
