Virtual Tasting Premier Host
The grapes of Champagne are well-known, but two grapes, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, have always been accepted as superior to Meunier. Meunier has historically been disparaged, but it appears that Meunier was simply a princess dressed as peasant waiting for her turn to reign. Where would Champagne be today if it were not for the fruit, fragrance and prettiness that Meunier gives to so many non-vintage blends? At this tasting, we will explore the supporting role that Meunier provides to the Champagne region, as well as its potential to rule on its own.
Matthew Citriglia, Master Sommelier, Director of Education for Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits Florida, will present this Webinar.
