Join the Florida Wine Academy on Thursday, October 8th at 6pm for a tasting of wines from one of Rioja’s best known producers.
Beronia was founded in 1973 by a group of friends with a mutual passion for wine and food. These friends decided to produce their own wines to enjoy alongside the local cuisine, specializing in Reserva and Gran Reserva styles. In 1982 the winery was integrated into the González Byass group, expanding into international markets. Today, Beronia is a renowned Spanish winery in both international and domestic markets.
A tasting of Beronia’s wines will be led by Claire Henderson, Senior Brand Manager for González Byass USA. Originally from Scotland, Claire holds a First-Class Honors degree in International Business and Modern Languages. While based in Jerez de la Frontera Claire spent 10 years as part of the International team involving all González Byass’ Spanish brands.
We will taste a rosé, as this wine style is becoming ever more popular and in demand, as well as a Crianza and Reserva, which will give participants the opportunity to taste two styles from the same producer. A fourth and optional wine, the III a. C., is a premium wine produced only in the best years from a selection of old vines.
