Inside Wine Santa Barbara will be 13 years old in the New Year!

Celebrate our memories and start off 2025 right with a wine tasting lunch in winemaker Karen Steinwachs' historic barn/cellar in Los Olivos on Saturday, January 11th.

Winemaker Karen Steinwachs is the Director and Chairperson Emeritus of the World of Pinot Noir and founding member of the Santa Barbara County Women Winemakers fundraiser. She was the longtime winemaker for Buttonwood Farm Winery and now crafts her own wine under her Seagrape Wine label.

When Lila Brown and Tama started Inside Wine SB back in 2012, winemaker Karen was the first to trust we had something to offer. She was our first featured winemaker. Lila and I started out with just a vague notion of what we wanted to do as a not-for-profit Meetup.

Thanks to her, Hana-lee Sedwick and Meridith Moore, over the last 13 years Inside Wine SB has included many highlights including:

• Growing our membership from 0 to over 1,860 members
• Traveling the Rhone River Valley with winemaker Richard Sanford and wife Thekla on a Uniworld cruise
• Featuring 13 top chefs of Santa Barbara at the Feast of Apicius showcasing recipes from the world's first cookbook, paired with wine
• Seminars with Master Sommeliers Brian McClintock and Richard Betts
• A weekend in Cuyama Valley with rock art viewing and wine dinner at Sagebrush Annie's
• A weekend in Paso Robles with a visit to Sensorio and wine tastings
• A fabulous wine-paired dinner at Pico Los Alamos
• Visit to Mail Road vineyards, including seeing the Sanford-Benedict vineyard
• Touring the state-of-the-art cellar at Starlane/Dierburg
