WINE NOTES & BOTTLE PRICES
2023 Daou Rosé ~ $19
(Paso Robles) Winemaker’s Notes: Made from 100% Grenache in the classic Provençale style, this Rosé displays beautiful radiance with a pale flamingo hue. Delicate aromas of peach, apricot, mango and lemony vanilla are accompanied by floral hints of hibiscus and honeysuckle. The palate is perfectly poised, balancing light and airy textures with a lush, crisp juiciness. Flavors of nectarine, papaya and Crenshaw melon reveal lingering notes of apple and citrus zest, all converging into a clean, silky finish.
2022 Tensley “Fundamental” Rhône-Style White Blend ~ $21
(Central Coast) Winemaker’s Notes: 35% Viognier, 35% Grenache Blanc, 20% Marsanne + 5% Roussanne. Floral nose of peach, pear and guava. Bright, fruit flavors in the mid-palate finishing with vanilla and sweet oak. ~~~ Review by Wine Advocate ~ 92 points: Gregarious aromas of baked apples, honey and acacia with savory and nutty undertones. The light-bodied palate offers concentrated flavors, bright freshness and a touch of texture which lengthens its long, nutty finish. It's easy to drink and offers great quality for its modest price. ~~~ Review by Jeb Dunnuck ~ 92 points: Tastes like a Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc with its ripe peach and tropical fruits as well as spicy brioche and honeysuckle nuances. It's medium-bodied, beautifully balanced, and has a great sense of freshness and outstanding length.
2022 Dutton Estate “Karmen Isabella” Pinot Noir ~ $32
(Russian River Valley) Winemaker’s Notes: Nose of vibrant red fruit and graceful floral aromas. Velvety smooth palate with a lingering finish that harmonizes delicate tannins and refreshing acidity, reminiscent of Burgundian Pinot Noir. As the flavors evolve, deeper, juicy fruits like raspberry and cherry reveal themselves. This lighter bodied Pinot Noir lends itself to countless pairings, including classic Italian pasta dishes or grilled cheese with tomato confit. ~~~ Review by Wine Enthusiast ~ 90 points: Displays aromatics of cedar, sage and grilled shiitake mushrooms in its complex and evolving nose. On the palate, there’s a mix of berries and spice with a juicy, savory finish. Try with roasted duck or barbecue pork.
2022 Stolpman “Estate” Syrah ~ $30
(Ballard Canyon) Winemaker’s Notes: In its youth this wine carries a torch of intense, high toned red fruit with a captivating fleshy texture. Its delicately silky yet deceivingly thick and round mouthfeel are backed with chalky tannins. Ripe, dense cherry and fiery red plum brightness shine through the palate. A wine of flare and unabashed confidence, certainly a high water mark for the flagship Estate cuvee. ~~~ Review by Vinous ~ 93 points: A dense, voluptuous and very easy to like Syrah. Succulent dark cherry, plum, tobacco, licorice, chocolate and new leather are front and center. Bright acids and polished tannins wrap it all together in style. A terrific introduction to the Stolpman Syrahs. ~~~ Review by Wine Advocate ~ 93 points: Scents of blueberries and briar fruit with nuances of tar and forest floor. The full-bodied palate features mineral-tinged fruit, rounded tannins and bright bursts of acidity that highlight violet perfume on the finish. Very easy to drink.
WV&B’s Legendary Quadruple Barrel Aged Manhattans ~ $20 (200ml hip flask)
A magical blend of premium Bourbon, Antica Carpano Italian Sweet Vermouth, a touch of Luxardo Cherry Liqueur and a splash of special Old Fashioned Bitters all seamlessly aged together in four charred oak barrels solera style since 2020.
