With more than 400 grape varieties used for quality wines in Italy, it’s no wonder wine explorers get tangled up trying to make sense of Italian wines. This class will introduce learners to famous and less familiar northern Italian wine regions worth knowing and what makes their wines so special (central and southern Italian regions will be covered in Part 2, coming Winter 2024-5). Food pairing, value hunting and less familiar wine regions that deserve a place on wine lovers’ radars will also be covered. No prior wine knowledge needed, only a sense of wine adventure and curiosity.
