Our wine director, Erin Dudley, constantly has to correct herself when she calls a winemaker "famous." Can a winemaker really become a famous household name like a singer or an actor? Not really. However there are certain producers that can have wine aficianados and professionals truly star struck. These "wine famous" winemakers make wines that are sought after and written about around the world, and never have to worry about marketing or lack of demand, but the average wine consumer may have no idea who they are.
