Take an educational journey with sommelier Paul Robinson into the incredible wines produced by the iconic grape varietal Nebbiolo.

There a few places in the winemaking world where a single grape has gained acclaim across multiple appellations, producing nuanced wines that speak loudly and uncompromisingly: “this is where I am from!” Pinot from Burgundy and Riesling of the Mosel are two such examples. Another, perhaps shrouded in a bit of mystery, are the wines made from the grape Nebbiolo. Produced in only a handful of sub-regions exclusively located in northwestern Italy, Nebbiolo wines inspire a fervent following born of patience and a sense of wonder, two important traits for any Nebbiolo lover. Are you an acolyte?

In this immersive tasting experience, we will take a deep-dive into this illustrious varietal. Attendees will gain a clear picture of Nebbiolo, its temperament, and the conditions necessary for its growth. Then, through 8 distinct wines, we will blind-taste and discover where Nebbiolo is grown and why. Barolo, Barbaresco, Alto-Piemonte, Aosta valley and Valtellina will be our playground, as we swirl, sip and unlock the secrets of these iconic wines, not to mention the stories of some of its most dedicated practitioners! Join the Nebbiolo craze...
