we're bringing something new to avec — join us for a unique wine-based cocktail dinner hosted by the publican’s assistant general manager, emily perez. this five-course, communal dining experience reimagines classic pairings by blending wine and cocktail elements in bold, unexpected ways. come sip, savor, and explore a whole new side of wine.
course one: murder point oysters with spanish chorizo and smoked trout roe
pairing: champagne cocktail - champagne with cognac and bitters
course two: baked feta with strawberry and olive ezme, pickled fresno and seeded crackers
pairing: bamboo - sherry, dry vermouth, cocchi americano, and celery bitters
course three: chicken liver mousse with pear mostarda and garlic crostini
pairing: avec sour - our take on the traditional new york sour with whiskey, lemon, and a red wine float
course four: seafood paella with halibut, shrimp, snail sausage, and basque pepper aioli
pairing: white sangria - spanish white wine and brandy married together with green apples, orange, and lemon
course five: dessert by pastry chef natalie saben
pairing: betsy ross - port, cognac, orange liqueur, and bitters
