This Saturday from noon-4pm, join us for a staggeringly good and exciting tasting of fine wines from across Italy featuring selections from John Grimsley’s Le Storie Wines. Brunello, Chianti, Verdicchio and Taurasi are names you know and expect. But you’ll also discover Alto Piemonte, Timorasso, and fizzy Piemonte pink wine. And range the world a bit with John’s choices of Vinho Verde, Sauvignon Blanc, a wild pink California Gewurztraminer and very classy Napa Cabernet.
All 15 wines will be open this Saturday, July 13, from noon-4pm. All you and your wine-loving friends have to do to participate is show up. No fee and no RSVP required! You can even shop the festival wines and enjoy the savings right now at this llink.
In less than a decade, John has constructed one of the most exciting books of Italian wines we know of anywhere. He imports and represents wines from famous, even legendary, estates like Montenidoli and Tenuta di Trinoro in Tuscany, Azelia in Barolo/Piemonte and more. But many of the gems John presents are from small family estates discovered through networking, winemaker referrals, and lots and lots of tasting.
And he’s equally astute in finding stunning wines from artisanal producers outside Italy from wineries like Union Sacre, Lail and more. What all of John’s wines have in common are a deep authenticity and connection to their regions’ tradition and soul. And deliciousness. So join us from noon-4pm on Saturday to try:
Table 1: Light, Fresh, Salty for the Pool and Patio
Table 2: Full, Textured Whites & Pinks for Food, Cellar, and More
Table 3: Summer Reds and a Couple of Big Guns
It’s a great line-up and all the wines will be available for purchase/order at great festival savings, too. Whether you’re a long-time Italian fan looking for something new or just beginning your exploration of one of the great wine nations of the world, this is the tasting for you. So round up a group of wine loving friends and come by to meet John and his team and taste a stunning set of wines Saturday from noon-4pm.
