The Virginia Wine Expo, highlighted by the Walk-Around Grand Tastings, welcomes the world's passionate wine drinkers and producers, spirits enthusiasts, and foodies to its unparalleled 10-day celebration of great wine, spirits, and local, artisan cuisine. From intimate wine dinners, fascinating Masterclass seminars, and themed events, such as ‘SMOKED!’, ‘Oyster Eat’, ‘Tequilabamba’, 'Bacchanalia', and ‘POP ITALIA!’, to the large-scale Grand Tastings, you'll be certain to find unique experiences that satisfy even the most discriminating palate. 

The heart of the Expo is the Walk-Around Grand Tasting, of which there are four entry times, where the public, media, and trade will be able to swirl, sniff, taste and discuss hundreds of bottles of wine from Virginia, our 2023 Regions of Emphasis, Italy and Oregon, and other wine regions around the world, as well as taste dozens of spirits, ciders and meads from Virginia. All this happens at beautiful and historic Main Street Station.

Five Objectives

The Virginia Wine Expo has five objectives: to present a highly curated, informative and educational international wine, spirits, and food experience for the public, media and trade; to be a national destination event, which attracts wine, spirits, and foodie enthusiasts from across the country and beyond; to offer a unique opportunity to taste - and in most cases buy - Virginia wine and spirits; to present the diverse and extraordinary cuisine of Richmond's flourishing and nationally acclaimed dining scene; and to raise money for charity (Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity).
