Local Event
One of the most interesting aspects of wine appreciation is tasting the wines of a single producer over the course of several vintages. This is an especially enlightening activity when the wines are from climates where weather conditions play a bigger role in influencing winemaking, like Europe. This type of wine tasting is called a “vertical tasting,” implying that one tastes the wines of the same producer in a vertically ascending set of vintages. At this event we will examine a number of wine producers in a series of vertical vintages. The wines will be largely from Europe, but we may also throw in a few producers from other countries to test our theories. Along with the wines, we will be serving a selection of appropriately paired artisanal cheeses and breads. You will not want to miss this event, so sign up today!
