Turnbull Wine Cellars has been producing beautifully structured and polished wines in the coveted Oakville appellation of Napa Valley for over four decades. Originally founded in 1979 by Bay Area architect, William Turnbull (who designed the current winery) and Reverdy Johnson (a former President of the Napa Valley Vintners Association), Turnbull was purchased and revamped in 1993 by Patrick O’Dell, a newspaper publisher from Humboldt County.
Turnbull currently owns four estate vineyards: three in Oakville (including two in the sought-after vineyard neighborhood near Screaming Eagle) and their original vineyard, which is next to the winery, as well as a 100+ acre vineyard just north of Calistoga. Having a hand in every step of the grape growing process, the Turnbull team strives to maintain the integrity of the land and craft balanced wines from high quality, sustainably farmed fruit.
Peter Heitz, a 4th generation winemaker born and raised in Napa Valley, grew up tending vines in Calistoga on land planted by his grandparents in 1904. After graduating from UC Santa Cruz, he spent nine vintages producing the venerable Beringer Reserve wines before landing at Turnbull in 2007. With a respectful and straightforward attitude towards wine, Peter has harnessed the stunning quality of Turnbull’s vineyards and its historic cellar to make consistently incredible wines.
Join us on Wednesday, April 16, anytime between 4PM and 7 PM when we welcome Turnbull Winemaker, Peter Heitz to our wine bar to pour a flight of his current releases; and see for yourself why we have been longtime supporters of this Oakville treasure and its outstanding wines.
No reservations required. Must be 21+ to attend.
