Join us on February 28th, 2025, 7 PM at the Hilton Harrisburg when we kick off a new year and explore the Softer Side of Syrah to fend off the winter blues.

We will be tasting both Old World Syrah from the classic Rhone Region. as well as New World Syrah from California, Washington and Chile. All the wines are rated 90 pts and above.

We will compare Old World wines, which often have a lighter body, higher acidity, and lean towards more mineral and earthy flavors.

Grapes grown in cooler climates, like those found in many Old World regions, have slower ripening, which helps retain pleasing acid levels and encourages the development of complex flavors.

New World wines, in contrast, are often produced in warmer climates. They tend to be fuller-bodied, lower in acidity, and exhibit more pronounced fruity flavors.

Mark your calendar and make plans to attend this event. Reservation deadline is Tuesday, February 25th. More details in future newsletters.

Three small plate food pairings will accompany our tasting. Please inform us early of any food sensitivities with your reservation.
