The Meat Hook will be grilling steaks all from an 8 year old Red Devon beef from Fat Apple Farm at the beautiful Rose Hill Farm.

Plates are $45/ person and will include grilled steak and seasonal vegetables. Wine and cider will be available for purchase.

The beef that we eat in America are generally under 30 months old. “Vintage Beef” are cows chosen for breeding because they have the best traits of the herd and are kept around as long as they are healthy and calving. Cows can live a long, productive life!

We see a missed opportunity in celebrating the quality of older animals. Over a long life a cow has the chance to really develop its muscles and eat tons of grass. The meat has a deep, rich flavor, and it tends to be a beautiful dark purple color with yellow fat. It's deeply flavorful and delicious.
