You’re invited! We welcome you to join us at Bella Luna Farms as owner Pamela Thompson and professional cheese and buttermaker Meghan McKenna teach us how to make glorious cultured butter at home.

To begin, we will use local Jersey cream to create luscious Crème Fraîche. Then, we will move on to making traditional French-style cultured butter, as well as Fleur de Sel butter, and a variety of compound butters for you to take home. We will also teach you how to make impeccably-wrapped packages for unique, hand-made gifts for the holidays and make a classic buttermilk dressing from scratch using our own fresh buttermilk.

A delicious lunch will be served midway through class, finished by wine and a dessert crostata that features our handmade Crème Fraîche and fruit from our orchard here at Bella Luna Farm.

You will leave the class equipped with a host of recipes, plus all the skills you need to recreate the buttermaking process at home. As a take-home gift, you will receive a lovely gift bag filled with your handmade butters from the day, plus jarred Crème Fraîche, and fresh buttermilk or buttermilk dressing.

Payments for workshops and events held at Bella Luna Farms are non-refundable. If you find yourself unable to attend, you may transfer the ticket to a friend. However, we are unable to refund any fees and all payments are final. If a class must be canceled due to inclement weather or instructor illness, your enrollment may be transferred to a future class or a refund may be requested.
