Join us for an exquisite afternoon of indulgence, elegance, and regal charm at "The Delta Heritage Hat Tea" on November 10, 2024

The Delta Heritage Foundation has been in existence since 1997 as a public foundation located in West Palm Beach, Florida. Our primary purpose is educational and charitable. We support the community by granting scholarships to graduating high school seniors who will attend the college or university of their choice; young adult educational programs; and programs for the residents of Palm Beach County. Since 1997, the Foundation has awarded over $400,000 to students from the West Palm Beach Metropolitan area and funded educational programs for residents from teenagers to senior citizens.

This year’s fundraiser will feature Ms. Celenthia Passmore–Mack. Ms. Passmore–Mack is a proud member of the Miami Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, where she currently serves as the parliamentarian. Ms. Passmore-Mack recently transitioned to this new role after being the chaplain for 6 years. In addition, Ms. Passmore-Mack serves on the Regional Leadership Team for the Southern Region. Ms. Passmore-Mack’s name is etched in the annals of history in the School District of Miami-Dade County. In 2006, she was Francisco R. Walker Teacher of the Year; in 2014, Assistant Principal of the Year for Coconut Palm K-8 Academy and the Homestead Feeder Pattern. In 2020, Ms. Passmore-Mack was honored as the runner-up for the Assistant Principal of the Year for the School District of Miami-Dade County. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Ethical Leadership at St. Thomas University.

Our second featured speaker is Mr. Brian Knowles. Mr. Knowles is a dynamic speaker, writer, researcher, and educator with the distinction of being twice named by Legacy Magazine as one of South Florida’s Top Black Educators (2018 and 2022). Mr. Knowles is the founder of Power Builders Curriculum and Pedagogies, LLC, which focuses nonprofits in creating culturally affirming spaces. He is also employed by the School District of Palm Beach County as Manager of the Office of African, African American, Latino, Holocaust, and Gender Studies.

The Delta Heritage Foundation will host the Second Annual Crown and Glory Tea at the Marriott Hotel, 1001 Okeechobee Boulevard West Palm Beach, FL 33401.
