Join us for an exciting culinary event, the TasteBuds Throwdown: Cooking for a Cause! Get ready to tantalize your taste buds and support a great cause at the same time. This in-person event will take place on Monday, November 6, at 6 p.m.at The Magnolia. Cash Bar.
The Magnolia is located at 318 West Lewis and Clark Parkway, Clarksville, IN 47129. It is the perfect venue where food enthusiasts can gather, share their love for cooking, and make a difference in the community. A Big THANKS to the owners of The Magnolia for their generous donation to help sponsor this event.
At this event, talented chefs will go head-to-head in a friendly cooking competition. Watch as they demonstrate their culinary skills and creativity, creating mouthwatering dishes.
But it's not just about the food. By attending the TasteBuds Throwdown: Cooking for a Cause, you'll be supporting our mission of increasing access to healthy food through community and family engagement.
You'll have the opportunity to taste their creations and vote for your favorite dish! Bring plenty of cash so you can vote for your favorite chef team with your dollars.
There will be a silent auction.
And LIVE MUSIC! The band: ETHAREOL, (pronounced E-THAIR-E-UL) from Maxwell's House of Music.
Proceeds from this event will go to Let Us Learn, Inc.

Chef/Owners Zechariah and Kimberly Maxey of Leaven Bakery & Bistro
We both have nearly 10 years experience each being professional chefs. We both lost our jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic/restaurant shutdowns. In order to make ends meet, we started baking out of our small apartment during quarantine. After a year of baking out of our small home oven, 1500+ deliveries later, and enormous amount of support from the community, we opened Leaven Bakery in New Albany, IN. We offer all from scratch breads, pastries, and a rotating seasonal menu for breakfast & lunch. Connect with them here

MESA KIDS Cooking School is specially designed for children who have the desire to learn how to bake and cook. We teach children modern techniques but also classics used in the culinary industry across the world.
