LOWER MANHATTAN’S ORIGINAL FOOD FESTIVAL
First held 31 years ago on a loading dock on Jay Street, Taste of Tribeca now extends over prime stretches of historic Duane and Greenwich Streets.
Every third Saturday in May, these streets — once the home of New York City’s produce and dairy markets — fill with chefs from over 60 of the neighborhood’s most beloved restaurants, all serving delicious and inventive dishes, reflecting cuisines from around the world. Patrons move from table to table sampling the sumptuous offerings. Along the way, they may stop to listen to live music, make crafts in the Kids’ Zone, play ball games in the Sports Zone and much more.
Taste of Tribeca’s participating restaurants include Michelin star recipients, neighborhood favorites, exquisite bakeries, and even the firemen of Hook & Ladder Company 8.
Thanks to the proceeds raised at Taste of Tribeca, students at PS 150 and PS 234 take weekly instrumental music, science, chess, and dance classes; experience field trips supporting their units of study; and receive additional classroom support.
