10th Annual Taste of South Pasadena

This walking event (although shuttle vans are available) features incredible cuisine from eateries and bakeries up and down Fair Oaks Avenue and Mission Street in South Pasadena, Wine & Spirits tasting, Live music, and a Magician!

In 2023 we hosted a record 1,400+ attendees (we expect more this year), we had a record-breaking 35 restaurants and 14 wineries. THIS YEAR WE HAVE A RECORD-BREAKING 19 WINERIES! Plus 4 Spirits vendors.

Fun for the WHOLE FAMILY! Dog Friendly! Children 6 and under are free!

Food Tasting - 6:00pm - 9:00pm – Walk the streets of South Pasadena and feel the amazing sense of community, make memories with old friends, and meet some new ones while tasting delicious cuisine samples from over 30 local eateries! From your favorite restaurants, bakeries, a gourmet olive oil business, and a gourmet chocolatier! (See the Eventbrite ticket link below for prices). 

Wine and Spirits Tasting - 5:00pm - 8:00pm (Canoe House restaurant parking lot). We are offering a VIP wine tasting event with wineries and spirit vendors at the Canoe House for adults 21 years of age and older (Valid ID Required). This VIP pre-event requires an additional wristband. In 2023 we had a RECORD-BREAKING 14 local craft wineries (talk right to the grower and stomper!) and take home a commemorative wine or spirit glass (while supplies last). This year we will have at least 19 wineries including South Pasadena's Mission Wines, The Crush Pad wines of the beloved Jones Coffee Roasters in Pasadena and South Pasadena, L.A.'s San Antonio Winery, Daou, the Paso Robles-based The Shepard Collection and a collection of small wineries from as far away as Napa, Morro Bay and Temecula PLUS spirit vendors including a Tequila vendor, a Tequila cocktail vendor, for the first time in our history a Sake vendor, and a Gin cocktails vendor. Live Music at 2 locations - The musicians at the Wine & Spirits event will be local favorites Carbe & Durand. (Half of the extremely popular local group Incendio. (Liza) Carbe used to play in Lindsey Buckingham's solo band).

The Musicians at the Metro Rail Plaza, will be the 2024 Pasadena Neighbor Day Musical Act of the Year award recipients, The Nextdoors!

Magician - A strolling magician from the Magic Castle, Rich "Doc Magic" Freeman, will be there to delight and amaze attendees and will provide invitations to the Magic Castle! (he was a huge hit last year!)

+ ALL proceeds go to fund the various charity endeavors of the Rotary Club Of South Pasadena, a registered 501(c)(3) Foundation.
