Join us for Sip & Soil, a special wine tasting in honor of Earth Day, where we’ll explore the world of sustainable wines from the stunning Iberian Peninsula.
In Iberia, wine isn’t just about great taste – it’s about great care for the earth. The region’s winemakers have long been pioneers in minimizing their carbon footprint while producing wines that are bold, beautiful, and sustainable. Through innovative farming practices, organic vineyards, and eco-conscious production techniques, Iberian wineries are crafting wines that are as good for the planet as they are for your palate.
Sip & Soil will feature four exceptional wines, each carefully selected to highlight the sustainable winemaking methods of this incredible region. We’re thrilled to have national importers of artisanal wines from Spain and Portugal, Olé and Obrigado, leading us through this tasting. Olé & Obrigado is the result of a long-standing partnership between wine industry veterans Patrick Mata and Alberto Orte, whose families have been crafting exceptional wines and spirits for over a century. Olé & Obrigado was officially formed in 1999 and was named a Wine & Spirits “Importer of the Year” in 2020. They’ll share their knowledge and passion for Iberian wines, and explain how these wineries are creating a positive impact on both the environment and the industry.
