It’s almost New Year’s Eve, so now’s the time to test drive a few bottles of bubbles and make your choice for toasting in the new year – and drinking all 2025 long! We’ve got five terrific bottles of fizz open this weekend from 3-7pm on Friday and noon-4pm on Saturday. Plus the always popular Donna Laura Toscana Rosso Ali. Join us to sample:

Mata I Coloma Pere Mata Reserva Familia 2018 - Like a super-intense "Brut Nature" Champagne, this has laser-like focus and a minerally, bone dry, mouth feel and finish. It opens to add just-right notes of green apple and Asian pear to complement the brioche and toasted nut complexity. Yum!

Charles Clement Champagne Brut Tradition NV – Our best-selling Champagne ever, showing a generous richness of texture and fruit with a nicely toasty note to the fine, dry, finish.

Dreont-Marroy Le Triau Extra Brut (No Does) NV – From the far western reaches of the Marne Valley, this delivers stunning quality with ripe fruit, a sleek texture, and zero dosage.

Fresne Ducret 1er Cru La Grand Hermine Extra Brut 2013 - With nearly 10 years on the lees, this powerful blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier delivers extraordinary aromatic complexity and freshness. A superb wine for sushi and shellfish but there’s no bar to just drinking the stuff.

Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose Champagne NV - As Wine Spectator says, ""This mouthwatering rosé Champagne shows lacy texture and precise balance, with the well-honed acidity deftly knit to the subtle, chalky minerality and delicate range of nectarine, white cherry, slivered almond and pickled ginger notes."

Donna Laura Toscana Rosso Ali 2023 – This super-value “super-Tuscan” blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon just keeps getting…well, more super!

What to nibble with your sparkling wine as you wait for the ball to drop? How about Challerhocker! From famed cheesemaker Walter Räss, it’s a cellar-aged cow’s milk cheese with notes of toasted almonds, sour cream, onion, and a hint of creamy butterscotch. Smooth and meltable and easy to just nibble on, too, it’s a fine choice for sharing with a crowd (or hoarding for yourself). Come find some new cheese and fizzy favorites this weekend!
