Explore the world’s most beautiful and transparent red grape: Pinot Noir. You’ve probably heard that no grape has more ability to express place and vintage than Pinot Noir. If you’d like to taste that diversity for yourself, plan now to round up a group and join us for our first ever Pinot Palooza! You’ll find 15 different Pinot Noirs from around the world on tasting at this no fee, no RSVP, walk-around tasting.
Want to know what Pinot does in Burgundy and why everyone is so excited about vintage 2022? You’ll try five different beautiful wines from Domaine Gerard Seguin, from brilliant value Bourgogne Rouge through three different Gevery-Chambertin (including a glorious 1er Cru) and an elegant, pure, 2021 Chambolle Muisgny.
How is Burgundy Pinot different from wines from Oregon’s Willamette Valley? You’ll discover that as well while tasting five deliciously diverse Willamette Valley Pinots from value house Montinore to Valley pioneers like Evensham Wood, Bethel Heights and Patricia Green Wine Cellars. And what does Pinot do in other spots around the world? At the third tasting table, you’ll explore Pinot Noir from just outside Sancerre, mountain sites like the Dolomites and Vallee d’Aoste, surprisingly sunny sites in Germany and the cool, foggy, California vines of Mendocino. Here's the full line-up:
Table 1: Burgundy Pinot Noir with Doug House, Chain Bridge Cellars
Table 2: Willamette Valley Pinot Noir with Shane McManigle, Roanoke Valley Wine Company
Table 3: Pinot Noir from Other Places with Rob McFarlane, Potomac Selections
Just one grape, but 15 gloriously distinct and delicious expressions of the world’s most “transparent” red grape. Again, Pinot Palooza is on Sunday, September 29 from 1-4pm. There’s no fee and you don’t have to RSVP. So gather a gang of wine loving – or just wine-curious – friends and come enjoy the Pinot Palooza with us!
