A fresh & inclusive portrayal of Thanksgiving that celebrates sharing, community, family, food, & respect for America's first inhabitants.

P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome children's author Patrick Hulse to celebrate the release of his debut kids' book, At Our Table: a lyrical, vibrant tribute to the diversity of America coming together as one rich tapestry of gratitude, illustrated in joyful colors by Chickasaw artist Madelyn Goodnight.

Along with a reading and audience Q&A, Patrick will also be signing copies of At Our Table.

  • This is a ticketed in-store event with limited amphitheater-style seating
  • Cost of a $5 general admission ticket can be applied towards your purchase of the featured event book or any product in our café the night of an event.
  • We encourage all guests to wear masks.
  • The talk will be followed by a book signing. Books signed at P&T Knitwear events must be purchased from P&T Knitwear. If you would like a signed copy and cannot attend the event, we're happy to take your pre-order. We ship most places!


ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Patrick Hulse has authored and designed craft projects for Kid Made Modern, Smarts & Crafts, the Making with MoMA collection. He has also created pictures for Honest History magazine and written poems displayed on Fifth Avenue in New York City. His desire to honor the complexities of Thanksgiving inspired him to write At Our Table, his debut picture book. Patrick lives in Brooklyn.

ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR

Madelyn Goodnight is a member of the Chickasaw Nation whose artwork reflects childhood and all the wonder and imagination associated with it. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, she has illustrated a number of books for children, including Powwow Day by Traci Sorrell; Look, Grandma! Ni, Elisi! by Art Coulson; and Rock Your Mocs by Laurel Goodluck. She lives in Oklahoma City.
