Another set of wines wonderful for autumn (and, at last, it seems autumn weather is really here with us!) on the tasting table this weekend. The 1l Grüner Veltiner and savory Diamandes Perlita Malbec-Syrah are the kind of great value, all purpose, wines you’ll want to have on hand by the dozen this fall. The Coterra Chardonnay and Tenuta Cucco Barolo are ready to step up your dinner and entertaining game quite a few notches. And the Ippolito Gaglioppo Cabernet? To be honest, we’re not sure exactly what it’s for, but the wine is tasty!

Here's what you’ll be sipping on Friday from 3-7pm and Saturday from noon-4pm:

Ruttenstock Gruner Veltliner 1.0L 2023 - Shows aromas and flavors of pear and apple fruit dusted with green and yellow citrus zest and a sleek, racy, mouthfeel right on the edge of steely. Mineral dust and a burst of savory white pepper pop up on the dry, mouthwatering, finish. Bit 1.0 liter bottle, too!

Coterra Chardonnay Cienega Valley 2022 - You can call this “natural wine” if you like, but we mainly call it delicious! Shows huge richness of texture to the golden apple, grilled pineapple and fresh butter aromas and flavors. A dusty minerality and squirt of acidity keeps things fresh as does the modest 13.3% alcohol. The flavors really cling on the dry finish.

Diamandes Malbec-Syrah Valle De Uco Perlita 2020 - A fun party and cookout Malbec (80%) with a touch of Syrah spice (20%) and a bit of spice and softening from 8 months in French oak. A serious upgrade from what you usually find in Cabernet Sauvignon at this price point.

Ippolito Gaglioppo Cabernet Calabria IGT I Mori 2021 - No, you didn’t wake up this morning and think, “A Cabernet Sauvignon/Gaglioppo blend from Calabria – that’s what I want to drink tonight!” Taste this, though, and you just might find the thought crossing your mind in the future.

Tenuta Cucco Barolo Serralunga D'Alba 2019 - A powerhouse Barolo that wants 2+ hours in decanter now and then delivers the kind of rich, dark, character you expect from Serralunga. The 95 point Wine Spectator write-up captures it nicely: "This pure version boasts cherry, raspberry, rose and menthol aromas and flavors. Supple in texture, this is tightly wound and bursting with vibrant acidity."

All the wines will be available at special sale pricing and you can mix/match your way to enjoying best six/case price discounts during the tasting, too. Come by and try some new treats and be ready for the gorgeous cool weather to come!
