Welcome to the McDowell House Summer Supper!

The Kentucky Trust for Historic Preservation Board of Directors invite you to join us for something uniquely Kentucky. Come enjoy a new annual tradition, our Supper Series. Unique and enjoyable outdoor dining experiences at historic sites across Kentucky. You don’t want to miss this engagement.

This elegant summer supper will be held on the grounds of the historic McDowell House. This was the home of Ephriam McDowell a noted pioneering surgeon. A national historic landmark, the McDowell House was purchased in 1935 by a group of doctors and made a museum to preserve and share the site and its historic associations.

Our Supper will take place in the shadow of the preserved house in the gardens and feature an alfresco dining experience with farm-to-table meal paired cocktails. Could there be a better way to spend the final Friday evening of summer.

*Individual seating tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited, and this event will sell out quickly, so we encourage you to make your reservations as soon as possible. Once tickets sell-out, we will offer a waiting list option.

Starters:

Miniature Kentucky hot brown bites,

Bacon wrapped bourbon BBQ shrimp,

Brie bites with watermelon jelly

Salad Course:

Mixed greens with fresh fruit and house made citrus vinaigrette

Horseradish encrusted beef tenderloin with french onion au-jus

Chicken roulade (stuffed chicken breast with sundried tomato, pesto, and fresh mozzarella)

Potato, sweet potato, and spinach au gratin

Grilled summer squash medley

Dessert Course:

Fresh lemon cake with citrus glaze with crème fresh

Our bar service will include a signature summer cocktail and a selection of beer, wine, bourbon and other spirits.
