Local Event
Making Matcha, Mindfully
$16 Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 4 pm
Tea-For-All Tea Shoppe (located inside the Trenton Farmers Market)
We are often asked - "How do you make matcha?" On Sunday, September 15 at 4 p.m., Glenn Shouyuu Swann- a local teacher of Japanese Tea Artistry, will prepare matcha tea for us in a mindful way. He will explain the tools' significance and demonstrate the steps in making this extraordinary tea.
You will then have the opportunity to try your hand at preparing a perfect bowl of matcha. Many have made this practice a daily (or at least regular) ritual as the process has a distinct peacefulness.
This event often sells out so lock in your seats as soon as possible
Tea-For-All will serve a Japanese sweet treat during each practice during the event.
The market closes at 3 p.m. Should you arrive after the main doors are locked, please enter through the Tea-For-All Door located in the North wing of the market. Look for our red van which will be parked near our door.
This event has been run regularly, with most occasions selling out or nearly selling out since 2023.
