12-3 PM : An Educational Deep Dive: A Citadelle French Gin & Planteray Rum Tasting with Maison Ferrand Founder, Alexandre Gabriel and Brand Educator, Victor Bouvier

On Wednesday, August 14th, we invite you to an extraordinary tasting seminar featuring Planteray Rum and Citadelle Gin, hosted by none other than Alexandre Gabriel, the visionary founder of Maison Ferrand, and his spirited accomplice, brand ambassador Victor Bouvier.

Maison Ferrand will be sponsoring a luncheon Meet & Greet starting at 12 PM until 1 PM. The educational deep dive will get started at 1 PM until 3 PM.

We are super excited to continue the party after the Educational Deep Dive with an awesome cocktail event featuring all the winners from the Maison Ferrand Portfolio. The Gin Room Bar Team will be creating 4 Special Cocktails that are sure to be enjoyed.

Along with the awesome cocktails, we will have two tasting tables where you can sample some delicious spirits from gin to rum to cognac. Find your favorites and you can take them home. Alexandre will be signing bottles so you can put your finds in your collection.

Alexandre Gabriel, while he has led French cognac house Maison Ferrand, is also the owner and Master Blender of Plantation Rum and the storied West Indies Rum Distillery, to boot. This rum fascination has sent him as far afield as anyone – and yet he keeps introducing one delicious variation after another.

Alexandre has a great passion for gin as well, and has studied gin making and gin history in depth. It was this interest that brought him to an 18th century Genever distillery in the citadelle (or old fort) of Dunkirk, France. He found an old gin recipe which he has refreshed for today’s gin connoisseurs and created Citadelle Gin. It is one of the only gins distilled in very small copper pot stills and made with 19 botanicals from all over the word. It is made one cask at a time in the heart of the Cognac region, in the same pot stills that produce Ferrand Cognac (at the time of year when Cognac cannot be distilled as per AOC regulations).
